Tertiary students benefit from your support

Our tertiary students study everything from Medical Science to Agriculture. Marianne, studying Arts and Law, wants to be a detective and made the Dean's merit list. Nala is studying Agriculture to work with horses. Gill passed her first semester of Medicine after moving interstate.

Luisa's internship at a national accounting firm became a casual job in its tax department, and Mimi has delivered oral health workshops to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in Cairns. In the past year 18% achieved a High Distinction average and 43% a Distinction average.

Your support has enabled me to work towards goals beyond academics, catalysing my personal development journey.Reina

Raising money for A Start in Life

Soaring to new heights

At 17, long-time supporter Chloe Familton is setting out to become the youngest woman to fly solo around Australia in a light aeroplane. She first donated to us after winning a primary school competition, and in her first month of fundraising for this journey she raised over $5,000.

Career and Skills Development Scholarship

Exceeding expectations

Each month, Career Coaches Anthony and Giselle help students explore their values, skills and strengths, and the careers they could lead to: sports psychology, biomedical engineering, journalism, renewable energy and architecture among them. Students also visit leading employers and meet industry professionals.

I always wanted to be a doctor, but I've already changed my perspective on this through the Scholarship.Lisa

Primary and secondary students

Student achievements

Fifi was one of only 90 students statewide selected for UNSW's Civil and Environmental Engineering program. Al placed in the top 10 in every subject, and first in PDHPE. Rinny lifted her Maths exam mark from 49% to 75%, and Lex is earning mainly As and Bs.

Across year groups, Year 9 students lifted their literacy grades by 39%, a third of Year 6 students took on leadership roles, and Year 12 students reported an 18% rise in their confidence to learn.
