Health & wellbeing

MobilEyes and Dental

MobilEyes provides free on-site eye and dental care for students from low socio-economic backgrounds. Eye tests are bulk-billed through Medicare, with free glasses if needed, and dental visits are covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule for check-ups, cleans and treatments. By bringing these services to schools and community spaces, MobilEyes helps students stay healthy and focused on their learning.

Mentoring

Raise

Raise provides free, one-on-one youth mentoring for students in Years 8 and 9 who may be at risk of disengagement, facing wellbeing challenges, or simply needing extra support. Mentoring runs weekly in schools or online through the Raise Digital platform, helping young people build resilience, confidence, life skills and stronger connections at school. Raise also trains volunteer mentors, sets national standards for youth mentoring, and offers counselling for young people with more complex needs.

Learning & assistive tech

The Brainary

The Brainary provides educational, assistive and wellbeing resources, including robotics, books and NDIS-approved aids, to people across Australia. It also offers STEM training and professional learning for schools, libraries and community organisations, delivered in person or online. As a registered NDIS provider, The Brainary helps people access assistive technologies through their NDIS plans, supporting learning, inclusion and development nationwide.

Scholarships

WSU Scholarships

Western Sydney University offers a wide range of scholarships to support students in their studies, including merit-based awards, equity scholarships for students facing financial or social disadvantage, and program-specific scholarships. Some are considered automatically when students apply, while others need a separate application. Beyond financial support, certain scholarships also offer mentorship, internships and help with study materials, so students can succeed and reach their goals.

Safe accommodation

Lillian Howell Project

This service supports young women aged 13 to 17 experiencing homelessness with safe, culturally respectful accommodation and therapeutic case management that fosters independence, wellbeing, and connection to community and culture. It is professionally managed, guided by current research, and committed to helping residents achieve personal goals. The service also raises community awareness of the issues facing young women, including family violence, sexual assault and addiction, and supports prevention-focused initiatives.

University pathways

Torrens University

Torrens University believes a student's ATAR does not define their future, and offers alternative entry pathways for those with a low ATAR but strong passion. Through portfolios, interviews, diploma-to-degree pathways and the Early Entry Program, students can pursue studies aligned with their interests. With personalised support, flexible study options and industry-connected learning, Torrens helps students succeed on their potential, motivation and creativity rather than a single exam result.
