A Start in Life supports Australian students seeking to maximise their education, who are limited by their current circumstances. 

Who can apply for assistance? 

To be eligible to apply for assistance, students must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Aged 4-24

  • Australian citizen

  • Undertaking primary or secondary school, or studying their first tertiary qualification, full time

  • Seeking to improve in their studies

  • Facing financial barriers to their education

  • Willing to engage with a charity to develop a program of support

How do students and families apply for assistance?

  • Please ensure students meet the above criteria

  • Families and students can request an application pack by contacting the Student Support Team on (02) 9264 3017

  • Application pack includes

    1. Student and Family criteria for support and requirements for ongoing assistance

    2. Application form outlining required supporting documents

    3. Privacy statement

    4. Conditions of Acceptance (to be signed)
