A Start in Life support is available to students from the first year of primary school through to completion of tertiary studies.

 

Our Student Support and Career Coaching Team works in conjunction with parents/carers, students and educators to develop a tailored plan of support and set learning goals for each student, addressing the barriers they are facing to their education. This support can include:

• School essentials – text books, stationery, uniforms, shoes, school fees

• School activities – camps and excursions

• Extra-curricular activities

• IT equipment – computers, printers, internet access

• Tuition and other costs related to education

• Tools of trade and work placement assistance for tertiary students

The assistance provided works to both promote educational progression and support student social and emotional wellbeing by:

• Building student confidence and self esteem

• Developing organisational skills

• Promoting student engagement

• Promoting parent/carer engagement
